ABOUT US

The Casa Grande Valley Historical Society was founded in 1964 as a non-profit organization. The Museum collections include historic artifacts, archives, an extensive photograph collection, and several historic properties. The collections, exhibits, and properties portray the development of mining, agriculture, railroad expansion, settlement, and technology in the region.

In 2010 the Casa Grande Valley Historical Society Museum was awarded the El Merito award by the Museum Association of Arizona in recognition of outstanding volunteer service. The museum was founded by volunteers and continues to be operated primarily by the work and dedication of volunteers at all levels of leadership and service. The Museum has recently been nominated for the 2014 IMLS National Medal for Museum and Library Service. We are honored to be recognized as a leader in preservation and community support for the Casa Grande region.
